Consejera de Presidencia y Justicia del Gobierno de Cantabria, Dña. Isabel Urrutia de los Mozos, joined as an honorary member of the our Corps  - llmo. Sr. Colonel D. Emiliano Blanco Martín.

His high military rank and his innumerable decorations and distinctions were not the reason to distinguish him with membership, but rather his very high human quality; Only those of us who have attended the events that the Defense Delegation organizes: the historical conferences at the Athenaeum, the annual Dinner of the Patronesses, the events for INFANTRY day... know what a friendly, close and extraordinary person the colonel is and the immense work he does to make the Defense Delegation an institution present in the daily life of the Cantabrians and to make visible the great work of the army.

We wanted this distinction to also be a distinction to our entire army, few institutions in Spain arouse such unanimous affection as the Armed Forces, and to our highly prepared soldiers stationed in Cantabria, of which Don Emiliano represents the summit of their excellence.

Thank you and welcome !

Ilmo. Sr. Colonel D. Emiliano Blanco Martín

20.3.2022: The Corps of Nobility of  Cantabria donate funds for the Ukrainian children.

Given the situation caused by the war in Ukraine, our Corporation seeks formulas that allow it to help those most affected. Since 1986 numerous foundations and associations have emerged in Spain to temporarily shelter children from Ukraine and Belarus who, after the Chernobyl disaster, saw how their physical and psychological health improved during the periods they spent in Spain, away from their homes. This year we have decided to donate an amount of the Corporation's money, equivalent to the total income from the annual membership fees, to one of those associations, the NGO "Ven con Nosotros" ("Come with Us") so that they can use it to increase the number of Ukrainian children that this year they can bring to Spanish homes so that they can forget for a few months the tragedy that their country is experiencing.

May/June 2020: His Majesty King Felipe VI encourages the nobles to help the most vulnerable.

H.M. King Felipe VI, continuing with tradition of solidarity and consolation of his ancestors, has appealed to the various institutions of nobles and chivalry orders with the aim of joining in helping the most vulnerable. This aid has been coordinated by two cousins of the King, Don Pedro de Borbón Dos Sicilias and Don José Miguel Zamoyski de Borbón. This is how a donation initiative has been launched to deliver long-life milk (UHT), which represents more than 193,000 breakfasts, and some 25,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil, in one-liter bottles for better distribution, to needy families through the Red Cross.

Our corporation has also been actively involved in this humanitarian action to help combat the new coronavir pandemic.

A description of the entire humanitarian action, together with a list of all the noble corporations and chivalry organizations involved, can be found in the article Real Cuerpo de la Nobleza de Madrid here:
